How to remove yourself from TruePeopleSearch.com

These steps follow TruePeopleSearch's own Do Not Sell/Right to Opt-out page, checked in October 2026. They apply only to truepeoplesearch.com. A listing on truepeoplesearch.net is a separate matter, covered below.

   Request the opt-out link

   At truepeoplesearch.com/removal, choose "The subject of the request," enter your first and last name (middle name is optional) and your email, tick the authorization box, complete the hCaptcha and press Send Request.

   Click the link in your email

   TruePeopleSearch emails you a link to the opt-out form. It may take some time to arrive, and if you wait more than 24 hours to click it, you need to request a new one.

   Fill in the opt-out form

   Enter your information so that it matches the record you want removed.

   Check for the confirmation

   You get a confirmation page and a confirmation email. TruePeopleSearch says to allow 3 days for the record to be fully removed.

TruePeopleSearch says that omitting or inaccurate details only hinder the opt-out, and that it won't use what you provide for anything other than processing your request.

If you're also listed on truepeoplesearch.net

The .net site has its own Remove My Info page at truepeoplesearch.net/remove-my-info. You submit your request through the form on that page, and it says records are removed shortly after, which may take up to 48 hours, and questions go to [email protected].

That page says it can only remove public records from its own website, that your name may still appear as a possible relative or associate in other people's reports, and that it doesn't remove sex offender location data. If you have several reports, it asks for a separate request for each.
