What qualifies for removal
Under Zillow's Real Estate Professional Rating and Review Policy, a review may not be:
- False or misleading
- Unrelated to a true interaction with the agent and their real estate services
- Foul or inappropriate language, personal attacks, or offensive comments
- Lacks specificity or details about the interaction
- Rates skills or abilities that were not applicable to the interaction
- Contains information not relevant within the context of the Zillow website
- Spam
Zillow also reserves the right to withhold submissions where suspicious activity or conflicts of interest could be present, such as reviews from family members, employees of the same company, invalid or disposable email addresses, or users who were offered compensation.

Does Zillow require a closed transaction before someone can review me?
No. Zillow says buyers and sellers who have communicated or worked with an agent can review them, and that reviews may also be left for cases of "attempted contact". Zillow determines whether such a relationship exists at its discretion, based on the review itself or on the reviewer's answers to later requests for clarification.

What if a review is false or misleading but passed moderation?

How long does moderation take?
Once a consumer submits a review, Zillow says moderation can take up to 7 business days, and it can take longer if the moderation team has questions or concerns about the reviewer.
Can I opt out of being reviewed?
Only agents with Zillow profiles can be rated and reviewed. An agent can opt out at any time by deleting their Zillow profile, which removes all reviews and their presence from Zillow.
Can I take legal action against Zillow over a review?
Zillow's Review Policy says that by creating an Agent Profile, an agent agrees not to bring claims or complaints against Zillow, its licensed brokerage subsidiaries and affiliates, or its brokers related to any customer review, its posting, or Zillow's review moderation.
Do I pay if the review isn't removed?
